Password protecting the room is generaly rude. However when needed, it is the most effective means of detering problems during a game.
So now that you have talked enough players into starting a game, you will want to set up a room so that you are not disturbed by every user entering the server.
Open up your "Browse Server" menu again. If you look at the right side of the server box, you will notice a room listings. At the bottom of the listings are the fields you need to fill out to make a room. Enter your room name, room password, and entry password. Click "Create Room" and you are off.
You cannot create a room without a room name. You can however leave the remaining fields blank. We highly recommend that you always set the room password. This prevents wandering users from booting valid users.
If you click the "pass" button and enter a password, users will be required to provide the entry password or they will not be allowed in. Remember the server operator will always be able to discover your password for such a room. Also remember, if you lock your room to the public, you will want to tell your players the password so they can get in.
If you do not password protect your room entry, you will occasionally get wandering users who come in to see what your game is all about. We call these people lurkers. It is polite to ask people to leave before booting them from the room. Always remember that courtesy extends both ways.
Once you have your room running, the rest is up to you. The map, game tree, player list, and chat window are all at your disposal. Do not forget about the functions we talked about earlier such as whispering, ignoring, and moderation. If you wish to send your players nodes, remember to do that through the Game Tree Menu. You can use any rules you deem necessary, and the adventure is up to you. Have fun gaming!!
Remember that labeling your room properly will tell people what it is about and you will get less wanderers.
